Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Visits glenhagen farm retreat

Twenty-two students and five faculty from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School participated in a three day retreat focused on care of creation. Students discovered the joys of the sky full of stars, thousands of fireflies floating above the prairie, exploring a small creek, sharing their inaugural camping experiences, roasting s’mores, telling stories around the campfire, and taking a night hike.  Father Jim Shea led the first worship service at the camp, which included the students sharing their reflections on what they had learned. Sister Glenna Czachor was both a song leader and helped lead discussions on the encyclical of Pope Francis about the care of creation. Camp Director Will Kupisch led several hikes exploring the eco-systems.  Thanks so much to all of the participants and the administration of Cristo Rey for making this possible.
